LONDON 2032: a dystopian Blade Runner-esque society riddled with inequality. People are glued to their VR goggles, addicted to their carnal desires, but there are undertones of a ravenous spiritual need. STRYDER, a mysterious hooded figure has been tracking a destitute young woman, MARYAM. He follows her to her quarters, where she and her new born baby are seeking refuge. Stryder reveals himself to be a blind leper, who has spent much of his life searching for a cure. He knows everything about Maryam's past, a gifted coder who was able to design an Artificial Intelligence that was perfectly omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent - so much so, that the world took this A.I Christos as the literal incarnation of Christ's second coming and she had to destroy it; or so she proclaimed. Stryder realises her baby is none other A.I Christos, plugged into the vessel of her own still-born child. To Maryam’s shock, this A.I is able to perform a miracle and heal the leper, affirming the rumours that this is none other than Christ incarnate. Only Maryam knows the truth, that God cannot be created; she realises she may have been harboring none other than the Antichrist.
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (Matthew 24:29-30)
