Description

This mystery-crime story is set in our modern world. It is a story about the power of unity, inspired by the first disciples of Jesus. They were simple fishermen. They had their flaws, they were in competition to each other, they still were uncertain about the identity of Jesus. And yet Jesus had faith in them, knowing very well their weaknesses and knowing that one of them will even betray him. Like these fishermen, the characters of this story are diverse and imperfect. And after receiving supernatural abilities, they must discover that they are still not able to find the woman until they become truly one and in this way bringing the puzzle together. This is a journey of transformation, on which they come to realization that faith in each other, remaining hope in desperate circumstances and forgiving themselves and others, in short: perfect love, is the true supernatural power.

Biblical Connection

Based on 1st Corinthians 13:2 (TPT), I combine the mysterious with the call for unity in my story: „And if I were to have the gift of prophecy with profound understanding of God’s hidden secrets, and if I possessed unending supernatural knowledge (…), but have never learned to love, then I am nothing. (…) Our present knowledge and our prophecies are but partial, but when love’s perfection arrives, the partial will fade away.“ Regarding to my story, I interpreted theses verse as a revelation to my characters which is the need to join strengths and embrace their differences. Only then the nuggets of supernatural perceived knowledge will emerge into the whole picture. And the partial will then dissolve into, a new form of thinking - a renewed mind, which leads to the unfolding of unity’s potential. But unity is opposed by human flaws. And this references to discipleship which is in its core a lifelong journey to learn to love. Because the gift of prophecy is mentioned here with love, I am wondering if love is not also supernatural. Maybe even the true supernatural power since it is the only thing that will last into eternity. So love truly conquers all.
