#OMG! - A culturally relevant comedy

Description

#OMG! is a comedic look at the concept of modern day false prophets in the form of social media influencers. Our story depicts a reality where Jesus has returned and instantly joins social media as a way of obtaining new disciples. The world looks to follow him, but the internet never forgets and for some, their online paper trail comes back to haunt them and they find themselves an outcast from the lords social group. By using the story of Paul, Apostle to the Gentiles as a parallel, our protagonist previously persecuted those with faith on his social feed. Now, Christ has returned and he must atone for his past as a false prophet before reaching acceptance by the lord.

Biblical Connection

The source I am using directly is from Matthew 7:15 "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." This represents the modern day influx of influencers that boast about their lives, when in reality it is all a lie and underneath it all they have sacrilegious intent. I am also referencing the life of Paul, Apostle to the Gentiles as he was a character that persecuted people before Christ visited him and he changed his ways.
