Writer/director Paris Zarcilla made it to the top three of The Pitch in 2015 and didn’t stop there. Using his runners-up prize he brought others on board and pushed into production. The result is an absorbing and intense drama that won Best Short at the 2018 British Independent Film Awards.

A story of the rivalry – and bond – between two brothers who are pitted against each other in the harsh world of gymnastics.

Pommel explores the theme of brotherly jealousy and resentment from the tale of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4.
