Voting for 2010 will open in November.

How the Voting works

Submissions for the Pitch will be received between 1st June and noon on 15th October 2010. The Pitches to be in competition will be selected by an internal panel at the Pitch and displayed on the website for voting by the public on 1st November. The Public vote will be combined with the internal panel vote to select a shortlist for the judges.

How the Public’s vote will work

Each person voting will have to vote for three pitches. Each vote will amount to one point. The points will be totalled for each pitch and then converted to a weighted score based on the 80% allocated to the Public vote. In voting for each pitch please cast your vote with reference to the Judging Criteria.

The Split

The percentage weight of the vote for selecting the shortlist will be split as follows:

Internal panel 20%

Public 80%

Tie-Break

If there is a tie-break for the twentieth place for the shortlist, then the Pitch to go through will be the pitch with the highest overall score and the highest score from the internal panel. In the event that there is still a tie-break following this process, the internal panel shall, at their absolute discretion, decide which pitch shall go through to the short list.

How the Judges’ vote will work

The Judges will select their favourite pitches from the shortlist to go to the finals at Pinewood by ranking them from one to twenty (with one being their absolute favourite).

Points will be allocated to each pitch that is ranked by the Judges as shown in the table to the right.

The votes cast by the judges will be combined and the 10 finalists will be those receiving the 10 highest numbers of votes.
