PITCH DESCRIPTION
My vision, passion and what I currently spend every minute of my free time doing, is to create a 3d animated series that re-tells a lot of the parables that Jesus told in a way that eventually explains much of the Christian faith. Nevertheless, rather than telling the parables exactly as they appear in the Bible they are all interwoven in a fantasy story about four furry animal friends that have some extraordinary adventures in an imaginary world.
I'm a big fan of classic Walt Disney movies and love the way they’re set up as a musical. Therefore every episode will also include several catchy songs that make it fun to watch the animation again and again.
I’m currently half finished with the first 25 minute episode and would like to pitch for a 10 minute stand-alone segment that is part of episode 2 in which Strawinsky, the hero of the story, tries to escape from the “City of Prisoners”. He and a talking camel end up at a magic gate that leads out of the city. The only way to escape requires them to leave all their goods, money and belongings behind in order to fit through this gate.

BIBLICAL CONNECTION
Each of the episodes in the Strawinksy series include a variety of biblical references, subplots and teaching. For example, the first episode I'm currently completing includes the parable of the talents, the teaching about the yeast of the Pharisees (also relating to Romans 12:2), being filled with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit as our helper, having to make a decision between Good and Evil, and people generally on the run from God (trying to put off a decision).
The second episode (the one I'm pitching for) will focus on the biblical teaching about money, posessions, stewardship and greed. In Matthew 19:23-26 Jesus says: "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." According to many Bible scholars the eye of the needle refers to a small gate in the city wall.
I'm very passionate about this theme as I believe this is critical for people living in the Western world (including myself) to understand and to apply in our lives.
